I am Carl Nathans, founder and 1st President of the "Delco Cruisers." May I take this time to welcome you to our website. Our club was voted into being on January 28, 2007.
Many people, including myself, felt the need for a "cruiser" car club in Delaware County was long overdue. I decided to contact our local newspapers (Daily Times and Town Talk) and asked them to run notices of "a new car club forming."
They were more than willing to help. Amazingly, in a matter of a few weeks time, I received over 100 responses from car enthusiasts located in Delaware County--an area located west of Philadelphia--who wanted to join the club. The general feeling was that we were on to something exciting. They were right !
We look forward to developing a working relationship with car clubs in the surrounding areas. Our desire is to offer our membership a full calender of events. This includes holding joint events with other clubs at their location, as well as hosting events in our area. The"cruise together" events we hold are sure to become a club favorite.
In keeping with the desire of offering our membership a full plate of activities, we invite our members to plan their own smaller events which we will post on the website. For example, if a member wants to solicit other members to "cruise together" to a desired location, we will post it.
