  1. Greatest Car/Musclecar/Hotrod Movie ?

Top 40 car movies from HotRod Magazine by vote I believe...Sorry Pete (Mr. Molson or 29NascarPaete which are you ? LOL), Two Lane Blacktop is one of them. It's a car movie to the core. There is no plot, just the cars, with James Taylor (Singer/Song Writer fame), Dennis Wilson (Beach Boys fame), Warren Oates (Actor). It's like a Clockwork Orange, or Pulp Fiction for car buffs. It doesn't really have a plot or make much sense, it's just is what it is... See the link... http://www.hotrod.com/thehistoryof/hdrp_0610_top_car_movies/index.html Hope all of my fellow car buffs are healthy and happy... dave
  2. Here's a fun 'oldie' to watch! Adam-12 TV show about street racing. There's Camaros, Chevelles, GTO's, Dodges, etc. Yes, there's a Pontiac 65' GTO and I believe a 70' in there. The GTO ran a 12.35 at the track...I think the 65' and 70' race one another towards the end. Can see a 65' in the background shot of one of the scenes as well... There's a black 68' or 69' Camaro with hidden headlights lighting em' up against Kent McCords Sedan Coupe..a fellow LAPD cops car. I saw a Roadrunner or Coronet at the beginning too. I know we're all GM, FOMOCO, Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler, and custom built car nuts, but this is too cool...it smokes the Caprice...and probably gets more women wanting to be arrested as well... Two officers of Italian police, left and right, and their Swiss colleague pose near a Lamborghini Gallardo of Italian traffic police "Polizia stradale", which is told to be the world's fastest police car, at a highway rest area in Bellinzona, southern Switzerland, Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009. The Lamborghini will be presented at an international police meeting in the Netherlands. Speeders beware: Italian Lamborghini police car to show its stuff at Dutch show http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nation-wo...0,5252547.story A Lamborghini police car with a top speed of 202 mph (325 kilometers per hour) was en route Thursday — presumably within the speed limits — from Italy to the eastern Dutch city of Ewijk to be the top attraction at a display of Dutch emergency services. The car is equipped with the latest gadgetry, such as a medical platform under the hood that contains a cold box for transferring human donor organs. An external camera feeds images to an onboard computer, which collates GPS data to calculate the speed of suspected violators. The images are transmitted to a police station where the number plate is checked. The car was one of several that has been donated by its builders to Italian police. The 2008 model updated two cars Italian police received in 2004. Dutch police spokesman Frank de Valk said the car will highlight a daylong demonstration Saturday for the public by police commandos, firefighters and ambulance services. Although in active service, the Lamborghinis also have regularly appeared for ceremonial events, including New York's Columbus Day parade. Some experts say the Lamborghini is the fastest police car in service, but one Web site, www.gizmag.com, claims a police vehicle from Germany's Brabus Rocket, an upgraded Mercedes-Benz, clocked 226 mph (362 kph ) at the 2006 Essen Motor Show.

  6. Hello members all, I was hoping to see if any of you work at a bodyshop, dealer, mechanic shop, etc, where they can call in a "shop discount" for a body part for my BMW 530i, It's a small plastic part of the wheelhouse that is broken after I took a spin down the shore for work on Rt. 55 @ 135 mph (well only a few short bursts). It broke off the mounting clip and rubbed on the tire and melted, hence the ambient temp sensor is hanging on the ground. It retails for like $136.86. It's BMW part # If someone could call it in tho Union Park BMW in Wilmington (tax free fer sure ya), or Otto's. I could pick up as your courier/driver, cash at counter or reimburse your account. I have excellent A +++++ credit scores. http://www.aboveallmotorwerks.com/BVModules/ProductTemplates/Bvc%202004%20layout/Product.aspx?productid=GENUINE BMW_51712694832 Well, anyway, you can e-mail me at dlarkins@comcast.net, or call my cell at 610-842-7905. 14. Help with engine terms and basics ?

I have no earthly idea... when I pulled the intake and valve covers off to send out for tri carbs rebuild, there was no sludge. Well, I take that back. I haven't taken the valley pan off yet ( I have another because the new (old new) has the PCV grommet in rear) where it belongs), so I don't know if there's build up in the valley. But the rockers look and smell good.
