The "old" K & G Speed Shop

4 posts in this topic

This picture was in the December '09 issue of Car Craft. I was curious if any of the "old timers" remember the K & G shop when it was in Havertown. Recognize any of the guys in the picture? Any interesting tales to share?

Remember it well - I lived in Havertown -went to Haverford Jr and Sr High (1970 Grad)

One day, a few of us when we were in that shop and Chris G. paid us to work for a day or so to paint the walls in their "new" location on Eagle Road. We did. I should have put my initials on the wall. LOL

I also remember the time (Cruiser Past Vice Pres) Jerry posted a picture of his 57 Chevy Nomad for sale of their bulletin board. The picture showed the car just from the driver door to back of the car - We found out that he had crashed the front of the car and picture featured the car from the door back ! he was smart, had he shown front no one would have come to look at it.

Myself,Jerry and the car about 30 car people from Havertown hung out at the Burger king down the road. Some others hung out at Manoa Shopping Center.

Carl - Club Pres.
