Sad News

Recommended Posts

So sad to tell everyone.

The Legend Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins passes this AM at home after a long bout of illness.

This iconic racer and engine builder will surely be missed.

See you in the NHRA Winner's Circle Willy, Rest on peace.

Sad news indeed. One of the absolute best Pro-Stock drivers, builder, tuner, innovator ever. R.I.P. Grump.

Thought one of the posts on Moparts said it well...

"Sadly, that is the last of the "Big Four", the movers and the heavies of the match race days, the guys who pretty much invented Pro Stock.

Ronnie Sox, Dandy Dick Landy, Dyno Don Nicholson and now the Grump.

You guys will be missed. The sport hasn't; nor ever will experience a time like that. It was the high point of drag racing, bar none. Nothing has come close since.

Thanks for the memories, guys. God Bless."

Amen to that

agreed

i just read an article about the Grump, who obviously was known for putting together some SCREAMIN' MOUSE MOTORS that thumped the hemis of the day, but was also a great innovator of suspension and has been credited with makeing the slapper bar work the best.

Although the Grump was his nick name when i meet him a few times he was nothing but a gentleman.

RIP with the pedal to the metal
