NO...I am NOT talking about "Salad dressing"..I'm talkin about "Tire Dressin' "...Over the years I've always used Armor-All to make my tires look 'pretty' for a show...but over the years I've noticed that it soaks into the rubber and makes it imposible to clean the tires...especially the raised white letters....After a while they get .....funky. Do the readers out there have any suggestions....short of buying a new set of tires every year...to make them presentable???? Everyone KNOWS that I put less than 20 miles a year on her.And YES....I do clean the tread area of the tires at every show....You can see the mostly overlooked area of the tire.Who wants to see the "road-pizza" you ran over on the way to the show???? ..and YES...No matter what car I'm driving.....I DO speed up to run over small animals !!!LOL
THANKS ALL !!!!

As was explained to me a number of years ago, several tire protectors, including Armor All, contain formaldehyde which slowly causes the rubber to deteriorate. This is what is responsible for the slight patina of brownish color you'll see on the tire when the Armor All wears off. Tire Gel is what you should use.

THANKS DAVE !!!!!!The set of B.F.Goodrichs on the Vette is the only set that is turning the weird color. All the other cars have their tires on there but don't have a bit of issues with them. I'm wondering if the're just a bad set..or its from the car sitting in the garage??
