Rothrock Chevy?

I drove by Rothrock Chevy a few times over the weeks and noticed they dont seem to have any new cars on the lot, and very few used cars. Is that place closing?

rothrock is a chevy dealer until Oct 31st. at that time they will be a used car superstore or whatever rothrock decides he wants to do with dealership.

at present he cant order any '10's chevy and the '10s are starting to phase out and some '11s are starting to showup. :rolleyes:

after the Gm buyout the new gm said to all the dealers that if you want to stay with us this is what you have to do which involved a huge investment into property upgrades and although GM will back the investment quite a few dealers said to time to get out. Rothrock decided this is what they wanted to do. They do get buyout money from Gm for turning in franchise usually 6 figures or better

Rothrock is trying to stay open as a used car superstore but springfield township says it must be a new car franchise as listed in zoning. This is why rothrock says the lotus line is their new franchise.

i guess this means come the first of November I can do some "dumpster-diving" and see IF they are throwing out any 'goodies'..!!!!!!!

YEAH BUT DONT REALLY EXPECT MUCH AS IRA HAS BEEN MOVING THINGS OUT PRETTY GOOD.

......BUMMER....and I even cleared out the back of the El Camino and made room for some big block parts !!!!....or at least had my heart set on a pair of tail-lights for some car that I would never be caught driving...LOL
